Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Which banks are supported?
A: FinFormatly works with CSV files from most banks. The app automatically detects common CSV formats and column structures. If your bank's format isn't recognized, please contact support.
Q: Is my financial data secure?
A: Yes! All conversions happen locally on your device. Your bank statements never leave your iPhone or iPad. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your financial data.
Q: What apps can use the OFX files?
A: OFX (Open Financial Exchange) is a widely supported format used by QuickBooks, YNAB (You Need A Budget), Quicken, Microsoft Money, GnuCash, and many other financial applications.
Q: My CSV file isn't importing correctly. What should I do?
A: Make sure your CSV file contains at least these columns: date, description, and amount. If the issue persists, please send us a sample file (with sensitive data removed) so we can add support for your bank's format.
Q: Can I convert multiple files at once?
A: Currently, the app processes one file at a time. Batch conversion support is planned for a future update.
Q: Does the app require an internet connection?
A: No! FinFormatly works completely offline. Once installed, you can convert files without an internet connection.

- Check that the file has a header row with column names
- Verify the file contains transaction data
- Make sure the file isn't password-protected or corrupted
Issue: Dates are not formatted correctly in the OFX file
